Installation of commercial and residential solid vinyl tile and plank, and vinyl-backed sheet flooring. Moderate to Heavy Commercial
Bonds: Bonds To:
Solid vinyl tile and plank, and vinyl-backed sheet flooring to substrate. Porous: Suspended APA approved wood, underlayment board, cementitious underlayments, and dry concrete that is above, on or below grade where moisture test levels meet the flooring manufacturer's recommendations, but should not exceed 3 lbs./1000 sq. ft./24 hours as determined by the calcium chloride moisture test (ASTM F1869).
Non-porous: Staircases, terrazzo, ceramic tile, metal, existing fully adhered non-cushion backed resilient on all grade levels and poured polymeric floors.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

PREPARATION:

  • Read all installation instructions thoroughly prior to installation.
  • Store flooring and adhesive, conditioning to the area to be installed at a temperature of 65°F (18°C) 48 hours before, during and after installation.
  • All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease, paints, oils, sealers and
    curing compounds or any other foreign materials which may Interfere with proper
    adhesion.

INSTALLATION:
HENRY 640 may be used as a "wet-set" adhesive or as a pressure sensitive adhesive.

  • Porous Substrates: Spread adhesive with a 1/16"D x 1/16"W x 1/16"A square notched trowel. To use as a "wet-set" allow adhesive to set open for 5 to 10 minutes before installing flooring. To use as pressure sensitive adhesive, allow adhesive to dry to the touch (approximately 30-45 minutes). Install flooring within 8 hours. Roll flooring material with a 75-100 lb. roller across width and length. Avoid traffic for 12 hours after installation.
  • Non-porous Substrates: Spread adhesive with a 1/32"D x 1/16"W x 1/32"A U-notched trowel. Allow adhesive to dry to the touch (approximately 30-45 minutes). Install flooring within 8 hours. Roll flooring material with a 75-100 lb. roller across width and length. Avoid traffic for 12 hours after installation.

CLEANUP:

  • Remove wet adhesive residue with a clean, white cloth dampened with soapy water. Use mineral spirits for dried adhesive residue.
