DIRECTIONS:
Refer to cove base
manufacturers specific recommendations. Condition
the area to be installed, adhesive and cove base at
65°F (18°C) or above for 48 hours before,
during and 48 hours after installation. Walls must
be sound, smooth, dry, clean and free of dirt, wax,
polish, paint and all other foreign matter that would
interfere with a good bond.
- Stir any liquid on
the surface into the adhesive.
- Use recommended trowel
to spread adhesive on the back of cove base or directly
to the substrate. Stay 1/8" away from top of
cove base to prevent adhesive oozing.
- Place cove base into
position. Butt joints neatly.
- Using a hand roller,
roll toward the previously installed section.
Closed Barrel
Gun: Cut spout about 1/2"
from top of tube. Puncture inner seal. Insert cartridge
and attach nozzle (use 2-hole nozzle for 2-1/2"
cove, 3-hole nozzle for 4" cove, and 5-hole nozzle
for 6" cove.
Skeleton Gun: Cut spout near tip to produce
1/8" bead. Puncture inner seal and insert cartridge.
Use two 1/8" beads for 2-1/2" cove, 3 beads
for 4" cove and 5 beads for 6" cove. Be
sure to use enough adhesive. Immediately place
cove base. Press firmly to the wall, rubbing across
the face of cove base with a soft cloth. To assure
tight fit, rub toward previously installed section.

- Wet
Adhesive: Clean, white cloth dampened with soapy
water.
- Dried
Adhesive: Clean, white cloth dampened with mineral
spirits; carefully following warnings on the container.
