INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARATION
Refer to carpet manufacturer’s specific recommendations.
Condition the area to be installed, adhesive and flooring at 65°F (18°C) or above for 48 hours before, during, and for 48 hours after installation.
Substrate must be sound, smooth, dry, clean and free of excessive moisture or alkali. Remove dirt, wax, loose paint and all other foreign matter that would interfere with a good bond, such as curing agents and sealers.
INSTALLATION
Stir any liquid on the surface into the adhesive.
Full spread adhesive using recommended trowel. Note: Recommended trowel sizes for carpet are guidelines only, and are minimum requirements. Rough, porous concrete and heavily textured carpet backings may require deeper notches. A 100% transfer of adhesive into the carpet backing while maintaining full coverage of the substrate must be obtained.
Before installing stiff or nonporous backed carpets over nonporous substrates, allow adhesive to set open to start to develop tack. Install all other carpets immediately into wet adhesive. Within 30 minutes, cut, fit and reposition as recommended by the carpet manufacturer. Roll the flooring in both directions using 75-100 lb. roller, or the manufacturer’s recommend roller. Stiff carpet must be re-rolled in 2 hours. Restrict heavy traffic over carpet for 24 hours.
