W.W. Henry launches GreenLine
THE W.W. HENRY COMPANY LAUNCHES REVOLUTIONARY LINE OF
HIGH-PERFORMANCE ADHESIVES WITH THE LOWEST LEVEL OF EMISSIONS
ON THE MARKET
-GreenLine Developed Through Joint Efforts of
ARDEX Engineered Cements and the W.W. HENRY Company-
Aliquippa, Pa. (January 29, 2002) - As the demand for products that will help lower emissions levels during flooring installations continues to grow, leading flooring adhesives manufacturer, The W.W. Henry Company, stays ahead of the trend with the launch of GreenLine, a new category of high-performance, environmentally preferred flooring adhesives. The result of a technological breakthrough, GreenLine is the first line of high-performance carpet adhesives that had almost no discernible odor and the lowest level of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of any product on the market (as measured by the Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI) criteria). W.W. Henry plans to officially launch the new product line during the Surfaces 2002 trade show scheduled for January 29 - February 1 in Las Vegas.
"GreenLine represents the first time a flooring adhesives manufacturer has developed technology that reduces emissions levels so dramatically while maintaining high-performance levels," said W. Michael Crouch, HENRY executive vice president. "Helping to improve indoor air quality is quickly emerging as a key issue in the flooring and building industries, especially in healthcare facilities and schools. There is evidence that lowering emissions levels in flooring adhesives contributes to improving indoor air quality during remodeling. Although there are many factors well beyond the flooring industry's control that contributes to the quality of air in a building, GreenLine is one example of how we are taking steps to improve the situation."
Initial test utilizing the Indoor Air Quality adhesive testing process as defined by CRI show that the emissions in GreenLine products are up to 97 percent lower than CRI standards. W.W. Henry will launch the line with the high-performance carpet adhesive GL62. The company will be conducting product demonstrations at the ARDEX-W.W. Henry booth during Surfaces 2002.
The GreenLine technology represents the first of what corporate officials anticipate will be many technological breakthroughs from W.W. Henry since the company was acquired by ARDEX Engineered Cements in 2000. "This product line is the direct result of the great synergies between the companies. GreenLine is just one innovation coming out of the new partnership. We also plan to unveil the ARDEX-W.W. HENRY SystemOne flooring installation and technical support system at the same time that we introduce GreenLine during Surfaces 2002."
